Polymer Coupling Agent and Compatibilizer — product overview

Compat-MA is a Maleic Anhydride-grafted polyolefin compatibiliser and coupling agent — its correct commercial category is F (Coupling Agents & Eco-Compatibilizers), and this website presents it as such. The product's role is to resolve three related problems on the production floor: coupling polar mineral fillers (talc, CaCO3, glass fibre) to a non-polar polyolefin matrix; restoring chain integrity in recycled PE/PP (PCR) blends where hydrolysis and chain scission have degraded the base resin; and enabling compatibility in polymer alloys that would otherwise phase-separate. Loading level and grafting chemistry (MA-grafted PE vs MA-grafted PP) are selected per formulation; buyer validation on the target compound is recommended. Manufacturer TDS/SDS are provided at RFQ.

§ 4First Aid Measures

▾

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Get medical advice if discomfort persists.
Skin contact: Wash with soap and water. Get medical advice if irritation persists.
Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice if discomfort persists.
Hot melt burns: For pellet-form products processed at melt temperature: cool affected area with cold water. Do NOT peel solidified polymer from skin — seek medical attention.

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, dry chemical, CO2, foam.
Unsuitable media: None known.
Special hazards: Combustion may produce CO, CO2 and dense black smoke. Polymer melt drips during fire.
PPE for firefighters: Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and full protective gear.
