Flakes are the most common and lowest-cost form and dissolve quickly when added directly into water. Pearls are micro-spheres that flow freely, generate less dust and are preferred for automatic dosing systems and biodiesel transesterification. Both grades have identical 99% chemical assay.
Caustic soda is strongly exothermic when dissolved in water — always add caustic to water (never water to caustic), use PPE, eye protection and a controlled feed rate. Each shipment ships with a current bilingual (EN/FR) SDS that meets WHMIS 2015 / GHS requirements.
Most LTL orders dispatch from Richmond Hill the same week to anywhere in Ontario. Quebec, Maritimes and Western Canadian customers take FTL or FCL container loads with rail intermodal to Calgary and Vancouver.
