About this product

White Desiccant Masterbatch — 85% CaO — product overview

AZ-DESI-CAO85 is a calcium-oxide (CaO) based desiccant masterbatch supplied as white pellets on a polyolefin-compatible carrier. Its purpose is to chemically scavenge trace moisture from resin during extrusion so that the vapour has no chance to form silver streaks, micro-voids or surface porosity — a common issue when running recycled PP or PE and mineral-filled blends. The masterbatch is intended for blown-film packaging, construction and agricultural film converters that receive resin or filler with variable moisture content. Recommended addition is stated on the product record as 1.0–3.0%; exact dosage and let-down ratio should be confirmed against the actual base resin, filler load and processing conditions of the target line. Manufacturer TDS and COA against the confirmed shipment are provided on request.

Note: Related grade: D-M75 is our Category-A desiccant masterbatch with 70–75% CaO on a PE/PP-compatible carrier that also contributes some whiteness. AZ-DESI-CAO85 is a Category-L grade at 85% CaO. Both are moisture scavengers; the correct choice depends on the receiving line, base resin, target dosage and whether added opacity is wanted — confirm at RFQ.
