Purging Compound for Extruders and Injection Molding (Purge-X Express) — product overview

Purge-X Express is a reactive purging compound for rapid colour transitions, hot-runner cleaning and carbon/gel removal on high-output extrusion and injection lines. The commercial purpose is downtime reduction — converters running colour changeovers on wide-web film or multi-cavity injection typically lose hours per changeover to conventional resin flushing; a properly-selected purge cuts this to minutes and reduces off-spec resin waste. The compound is described as universally compatible with PE, PP, PS and ABS; nevertheless purge quantity, dwell time and screw-cycle protocol are machine- and colour-specific and should be dialled in with the buyer's technical team on first use.

§ 4First Aid Measures

▾

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Get medical advice if discomfort persists.
Skin contact: Wash with soap and water. Get medical advice if irritation persists.
Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice if discomfort persists.
Hot melt burns: For pellet-form products processed at melt temperature: cool affected area with cold water. Do NOT peel solidified polymer from skin — seek medical attention.

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, dry chemical, CO2, foam.

Special hazards: Combustion may produce CO, CO2 and dense black smoke. Polymer melt drips during fire.
