Pearlescent Mica Pigment — Interference and Metallic Effect Colour
Allzone Trading supplies pearlescent mica pigment to resin casting studios, epoxy surface fabricators, decorative concrete producers, coatings formulators and cast polymer manufacturers across Canada. Mica-based effect pigments create depth, shimmer and colour travel that a solid pigment cannot reproduce, and they have become a standard input in resin and decorative surface work. Particle size, coating chemistry and effect type are confirmed against samples at quotation.

Technical & procurement detail
Effect pigments work by optics, not absorption+
Solid pigments absorb light; mica pigments reflect and interfere with it across thin coated platelets. That is why the colour changes with viewing angle, and why a resin surface using them reads as having depth rather than a flat tone.
Particle size controls sparkle versus satin+
Coarse platelets give visible glitter and strong angular flash; fine platelets give a smooth satin lustre. Choosing the wrong size is the most common reason a finished surface looks cheap rather than premium.
Orientation and application matter+
Platelets must lie parallel to the surface to produce the effect, so viscosity, pouring technique and shear during mixing directly influence the result. Over-mixing or the wrong viscosity produces a dull, cloudy finish from perfectly good pigment.
Specification options+
Working properties are configurable options within this canonical product, not separate products. Depending on the family, that can include grade, viscosity, mix ratio, pot life and demould time, hardness, colour, particle size or fibre length, and pack format. No configuration is presented as stocked or approved until it is confirmed against the supplier's technical data for the exact material offered. Supplier grade names, factory codes and manufacturer brands are not published here.
What to include in your enquiry+

Frequently asked questions
Can mica pigment be used in cementitious mixes?+
It is mainly used in resin and coating systems where platelets can orient; cementitious use is possible in surface layers and is approved on samples.
Are effect samples available before ordering?+
Yes. Effect pigments cannot be approved from a description, so physical samples in your own system are the normal step before an order.
Are technical documents provided before ordering?+
Yes. The supplier technical data sheet and safety data sheet for the exact grade offered are provided with the quotation, and the working properties in those documents govern — not any general description on this page.
What quantities are quoted?+
Quantities are reviewed per enquiry, from trial quantities through to pallet and full container programmes for production users and distributors.
