Grey Portland Cement — General Purpose Hydraulic Binder
Allzone Trading supplies grey Portland cement to precast producers, decorative concrete plants, dry mortar manufacturers and construction product formulators across Canada. Grey cement remains the default binder wherever appearance is not colour-critical, and it is the base of most structural backing mixes behind an architectural face. Cement type, chemistry and supply format are confirmed against supplier technical data at quotation.

Technical & procurement detail
Cement type is a performance decision, not a formality+
General use, high early strength and sulfate resisting cements behave differently in demould cycles, winter production and aggressive exposure. Precast plants that run tight cycle times often depend on early strength behaviour, so the cement type is selected against the production schedule as much as against the specification.
Supply format drives plant cost+
Bagged cement suits small batch and colour-critical work, bulk bags suit medium plants, and bulk delivery into silos suits continuous production. The right format is usually decided by handling labour and storage capacity rather than by unit price alone.
Storage and shelf behaviour+
Cement is moisture sensitive and loses reactivity when it prehydrates, showing up as lumps, slow set and lower strength. Sealed storage, stock rotation and covered handling are basic requirements, and any lumped material is treated as suspect rather than screened and used.
Specification options+
Working properties are configurable options within this canonical product, not separate products. Depending on the family, that can include grade, viscosity, mix ratio, pot life and demould time, hardness, colour, particle size or fibre length, and pack format. No configuration is presented as stocked or approved until it is confirmed against the supplier's technical data for the exact material offered. Supplier grade names, factory codes and manufacturer brands are not published here.

Frequently asked questions
Which cement type should be specified?+
It depends on demould cycle, exposure and any project specification. The type is confirmed in writing with the supplier's technical data before order confirmation.
Can bulk delivery be arranged?+
Supply format is reviewed per enquiry against your plant's storage and handling equipment.
Are technical documents provided before ordering?+
Yes. The supplier technical data sheet and safety data sheet for the exact grade offered are provided with the quotation, and the working properties in those documents govern — not any general description on this page.
What quantities are quoted?+
Quantities are reviewed per enquiry, from trial quantities through to pallet and full container programmes for production users and distributors.
