Technical & procurement detail
What insulation fasteners do+
An insulation fastener holds a board that has almost no strength of its own. The wide washer plate spreads the clamping force so the pin does not simply pull through the board face, and the length has to account for the full build-up — board thickness plus any adhesive layer plus the embedment the substrate needs.
Common types within this family+
This page covers the family as a whole: hammer-in fasteners with integral plate, screw-in insulation fixings, separate washer plates and discs, plastic-pin and steel-pin versions, long-length fixings for thick board. Individual sizes, threads, colours and geometries are quoted from your specification rather than listed as separate products.
Material options+
Bodies and plates are commonly moulded in polypropylene or polyamide, with either a moulded plastic pin or a steel pin depending on the fixing. Material and pin type are confirmed with the supplier for the substrate and board.
Selection considerations+
Add up the whole build-up before choosing a length, because insulation thickness alone will leave the fixing short of embedment. Then match the fastener to the substrate — solid concrete, hollow block and brick behave differently — and choose plate diameter against the board type, since mineral wool needs more bearing area than rigid foam.
What to include in your enquiry+
Send the insulation type and thickness, the substrate, the total fixing length required, the plate diameter, plastic or steel pin, the fixings per square metre and the total quantity.
Documentation and specification+
Allzone confirms material, dimensions and connection detail with the supplier before quoting, and shares the technical drawing and material declaration for the exact part offered. No dimension, pressure rating, material approval or certification is assumed on this page — every value is verified against supplier documentation at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
How many fixings per square metre are needed?+
That is set by the insulation system designer and the exposure, not by the fastener. Provide the specified density and the quantity is quoted against it.
Do you publish pull-out values?+
No. Pull-out performance depends on the fixing, the substrate and the installation, and is only cited from verified supplier data for the part being quoted.
Can you quote against a drawing or a sample part?+
Yes. A drawing, a photograph or an existing part reference is usually the fastest route to an accurate quotation for a moulded component.
What quantities are quoted?+
Quantities are reviewed per enquiry. Moulded components are normally quoted per carton or per container load depending on the part and the programme.
Are certifications available?+
Any certification, approval or rating is confirmed for the specific supplier and part at quotation. Nothing is claimed on this page in advance.
