Ethylene Glycol Distearate (EGDS)

It crystallises on cooling into reflective platelets that give a pearlescent appearance, contributes opacity and body, and improves the perceived richness of rinse-off products. It is not a primary emulsifier and is usually dosed alongside the surfactant and thickener system of the base formulation.
