Offers quoted at different strengths are not comparable per kilogram. This comparator converts each option you enter onto a single active basis using only the values you supply from your own verified documents. It performs arithmetic; it does not judge whether two products are technically equivalent, and it never assumes an assay, a density or a price.

An equal active basis is not technical equivalence
This comparator does not determine whether two products are chemically, technically or application-equivalent. Differences may include chemical identity, grade, impurities, physical form, stabilisers, specification, regulatory or application requirements, and manufacturer formulation. Commercial selection remains your decision.
Use this when
- Two quotations are quoted at different concentrations or in different forms.
- One offer is a dry material and the other is a solution of the same declared active.
- You need the cost per unit of active material rather than per unit as supplied.
- You need to know how much as-supplied product carries a given quantity of active material.
How this works
- 1. Enter each option using values taken from the specification, COA or written quotation in front of you.
- 2. Active material = as-supplied quantity × active fraction.
- 3. Cost per active unit = as-supplied cost ÷ active fraction.
- 4. Compare the calculated figures. Every substitution is displayed so you can check it against your own documents.
What this page does not determine
- Equal active concentration does not prove chemical, technical or application equivalence — identity, grade, impurities, physical form, stabilisers, specification and regulatory requirements can all differ.
- It does not recommend a supplier. It reports which entered option has the lower calculated cost per active unit, where that is mathematically true.
- It does not supply, infer or default any assay, density, price or currency — every value is yours.
- It is not a dosing, mixing or handling tool and produces no process instruction.
- Where actual handling is involved, work from the current SDS, the manufacturer's instructions, your own site procedures and qualified technical or engineering review.

Limitation: Valid only when the entered fraction is a mass fraction of the same as-supplied material.
