Technical & procurement detail

What pet preforms do+

A preform is the injection-moulded intermediate that becomes a bottle when it is reheated and stretch-blown. Preform weight and neck finish are the two decisions that govern both bottle performance and material cost per unit, which is why they are agreed before any blow-mould trial.

Common types within this family+

This page covers the family as a whole: preforms across common neck finishes, preforms across a range of gram weights, clear and coloured preforms, preforms for still and pressure applications. Individual sizes, threads, colours and geometries are quoted from your specification rather than listed as separate products.

Material options+

Preforms are moulded from PET resin; bottle-grade resin selection differs between still, carbonated and hot-fill applications. The resin and any additive package used is confirmed with the supplier for the quoted preform.

Selection considerations+

Start from the finished bottle: volume, contents, fill temperature and whether the pack is pressurised. Those determine the preform weight and the neck finish, and they also determine whether your existing blow moulds can run the preform at all.

What to include in your enquiry+

Send the neck finish, target preform weight, bottle volume and shape, the product being filled, fill temperature, colour and quantity.

Documentation and specification+

Allzone confirms material, dimensions and connection detail with the supplier before quoting, and shares the technical drawing and material declaration for the exact part offered. No dimension, pressure rating, material approval or certification is assumed on this page — every value is verified against supplier documentation at quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Do you list preforms by neck finish and weight?+

No. Neck finish, weight and colour are quotation inputs rather than separate catalogue products, because each combination is programme specific.

Can preforms be matched to my existing blow moulds?+

That is the first compatibility question. Share your mould and bottle details and the supplier confirms which preform is suitable.

Can you quote against a drawing or a sample part?+

Yes. A drawing, a photograph or an existing part reference is usually the fastest route to an accurate quotation for a moulded component.

What quantities are quoted?+

Quantities are reviewed per enquiry. Moulded components are normally quoted per carton or per container load depending on the part and the programme.

Are certifications available?+

Any certification, approval or rating is confirmed for the specific supplier and part at quotation. Nothing is claimed on this page in advance.
