What Catalase is and what it does+
Catalase decomposes hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. It is used to remove residual peroxide after peroxide-based treatment steps and in paired systems with glucose oxidase.
Residual peroxide is the specification to verify+
The point of the enzyme is a residual peroxide limit in the finished stream, not the enzyme dose itself. Set and measure the residual limit and confirm the deactivation of the enzyme downstream if required.
