Concrete Densifier — Silicate Hardening and Dust-Proofing

Allzone Trading supplies silicate concrete densifier materials to polished concrete contractors, industrial flooring specialists and construction chemical blenders across Canada. Densifiers react with free lime in the slab to form additional binder inside the surface, hardening it, reducing dusting and allowing a polished floor to hold its finish. Silicate type, solids and reactivity are confirmed against supplier technical data at quotation.

Technical & procurement detail

Dusting is a maintenance cost, not a cosmetic issue+

An untreated industrial slab sheds fine cement dust into equipment, inventory and air handling for its whole life. Densifying the surface converts that free material into hardened binder, which is why warehouses treat it as a facility decision rather than a finish upgrade.

Polished concrete depends on it+

A polished floor gets its clarity and wear resistance from a densified surface, not from the polishing itself. Grinding without densification produces a floor that dulls quickly under traffic.

Lithium, sodium and potassium behave differently+

Lithium silicates are typically finer and less prone to leaving surface residue, while sodium and potassium chemistries are more economical and often require more careful residue management. The choice is a labour and finish decision as much as a chemistry one.

Specification options+

Working properties are configurable options within this canonical product, not separate products. Depending on the family, that can include grade, viscosity, mix ratio, pot life and demould time, hardness, colour, particle size or fibre length, and pack format. No configuration is presented as stocked or approved until it is confirmed against the supplier's technical data for the exact material offered. Supplier grade names, factory codes and manufacturer brands are not published here.

What to include in your enquiry+

Frequently asked questions

Is a densifier the same as a sealer?+

No. A densifier reacts inside the surface to harden it; a sealer forms a protective layer. Many floors receive both, in sequence.

Will a densifier work on old concrete?+

It depends on available free lime and surface condition, which is why contractors test a small area before treating a full slab.

Are technical documents provided before ordering?+

Yes. The supplier technical data sheet and safety data sheet for the exact grade offered are provided with the quotation, and the working properties in those documents govern — not any general description on this page.

What quantities are quoted?+

Quantities are reviewed per enquiry, from trial quantities through to pallet and full container programmes for production users and distributors.
