L-Fucose — Cosmetic & Nutritional Grade
Allzone Trading supplies L-Fucose as a white crystalline powder to manufacturers and formulators in Canada and international B2B markets. Also referenced as 6-Deoxy-L-galactose, L-(-)-Fucose, Fucose. L-Fucose is a deoxy hexose sugar produced by fermentation or by hydrolysis of fucose-rich polysaccharides. It is water-soluble, non-reducing in behaviour compared with common hexoses, and is specified by name as a rare sugar for cosmetic actives, oligosaccharide manufacture and specialty nutrition rather than as a sweetener.

Technical & procurement detail
What L-Fucose is and what it does+
L-Fucose is a deoxy hexose sugar produced by fermentation or by hydrolysis of fucose-rich polysaccharides. It is water-soluble, non-reducing in behaviour compared with common hexoses, and is specified by name as a rare sugar for cosmetic actives, oligosaccharide manufacture and specialty nutrition rather than as a sweetener.
L-Fucose is the specified enantiomer, not D-fucose or fucoidan+
Only the L form is the commercial cosmetic and nutritional material; D-fucose is a different sugar and fucoidan is a sulfated polysaccharide that merely contains fucose units. Confirm the enantiomer, optical rotation and identity method on the certificate of analysis for the exact lot offered.
Production route drives purity profile and price+
Fermentation-derived and hydrolysis-derived material differ in residual sugars, protein and salt content, and dossiers for infant nutrition or novel-food use treat the routes separately. State the intended end use so the appropriate purity grade and documentation set are requested.
Regulatory status is destination-specific+
Permitted use, permitted level and required labelling for this material differ by country, by product category and by intended claim. Allzone does not represent that the material is approved for your application in your market. Tell us the destination market and the finished-product category, and the available supplier documentation is provided so your regulatory team can complete its own assessment.
Documentation and specification+
Assay, particle size, solvent residue, microbiological limits and heavy-metal limits differ between producers and grades. Allzone confirms the applicable specification with the supplier before quoting and shares the technical data sheet, safety data sheet and certificate of analysis for the exact material offered, so the values you evaluate are the values you receive.
Frequently asked questions
