What hvac condensate drain fittings do+

Every cooling coil produces water, and the drain assembly decides whether that water leaves the unit or ends up in the ceiling. A trap holds a seal so the fan cannot pull air through the drain line or push water back into the pan, and a clean-out tee is what makes the line serviceable once algae and dust start to build.

Common types within this family+

This page covers the family as a whole: P-style and inline condensate traps, clean-out tees with removable caps, drain pan outlet and bulkhead fittings, hose barb and hose adapter fittings, reducers and extension pieces. Individual sizes, threads, colours and geometries are quoted from your specification rather than listed as separate products.

Material options+

Fittings are commonly moulded in PVC, ABS or polypropylene with elastomer seals, in white or grey. Material and seal type are confirmed with the supplier for the equipment and drain arrangement.

Selection considerations+

Work from the unit's drain connection and whether the fan is draw-through or blow-through, because that decides the trap depth the equipment manufacturer requires — a trap that is too shallow will simply be pulled dry. Then confirm the pipe or hose the line runs in and leave a clean-out where the line can actually be reached.

What to include in your enquiry+

Send the equipment drain connection size and thread, the trap style needed, the drain line pipe or hose size, whether a clean-out is required, indoor or outdoor placement and the quantity per size.

Documentation and specification+

Allzone confirms material, dimensions and connection detail with the supplier before quoting, and shares the technical drawing and material declaration for the exact part offered. No dimension, pressure rating, material approval or certification is assumed on this page — every value is verified against supplier documentation at quotation.

Frequently asked questions

What trap depth is required?+

It is set by the equipment manufacturer's static pressure, not by the fitting. Supply the unit data and the trap is selected against it.

Are these fittings rated for pressurised drainage?+

No pressure rating is claimed here. Condensate lines are gravity systems, and any pressure or temperature limit is taken from the supplier's data for the part quoted.

Can you quote against a drawing or a sample part?+

Yes. A drawing, a photograph or an existing part reference is usually the fastest route to an accurate quotation for a moulded component.

What quantities are quoted?+

Quantities are reviewed per enquiry. Moulded components are normally quoted per carton or per container load depending on the part and the programme.

Are certifications available?+

Any certification, approval or rating is confirmed for the specific supplier and part at quotation. Nothing is claimed on this page in advance.
